Empowering Data Control
ANCR exchange opens the front door to data silos with standard records, consent receipts, and privacy-permission controls. It empowers users to control their digital footprint through receipts documenting data usage via controller-ID exchange, providing transparent records of digital relationships.
Law-as-Code Implementation
Developed at the Kantara Initiative, ANCR TPI generates PII Controller identification records (Controller-ID) and digital receipts. The standard receipt converts "law-to-code" to the common international treaty Convention 108+, offering robust digital privacy transparency in a changing world.
Shifting the Security Burden
Unlike traditional consent models, ANCR replaces the User-ID with a Controller-ID, flipping the online security burden from users to data controllers. This approach fosters "concentric transparency," where notices and disclosures are standard digital public infrastructure.
Anchored with Authority & Consent: Convention 108+ is “the only legally binding instrument in the field, open to all regions, and able to offer legal certainty and political legitimacy in a changing world.” (Open Session of the 47th General Assembly, Conv. 108+)
